Position Summary
We seek motivated individuals who can perform many functions in a flexible, fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Following all safety rules and practices, including the lockout/tagout program on each piece of machinery they are qualified to operate.
- Operating production machinery.
- Operating touch screen controls to monitor the production process, and interfacing with a computer to enter data (such as work orders or other plant metrics).
- Reading factory work orders, product spec sheets, and other documents to learn requirements.
- Consistent quality and count inspection of a product, which includes identifying and segregating non-conforming (reject/scrap) products and materials, and documenting and reporting all quality assurance checks as instructed.
- Safely operating a forklift to load/unload production lines, to transport and stage materials as needed, or to assist with shipping as required.
- Regularly perform scheduled operator preventative maintenance and general housekeeping responsibilities.
We are looking for the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in a successful candidate:
- High school degree or GED (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
- Prior experience in the corrugated manufacturing industry
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Stable work history and good attendance record
- Proven track record on safety and quality
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and a focus on producing a quality product
- The ability to work with others in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to learn, including cross-training and filling in other positions as needed
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least ten (10) hours a day
- Willing and able to work in a dusty, hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Position may require overtime
